Lindsey Hambleton
Figurative Work 2007

Continuing from her exploration of sculpture in 2006, Lindsey has developed bronze resin coated figures which are presented in open and closed box structures. The Figure in the City series utilises Lindsey's constructional skills, with the traditional canvas being deconstructed into blocks which represent the urban environment. The series is celebratory, the figures joyful within the city.

The Core Series uses found wood, carved and then worked with clay, to produce unusual pieces with the feel of ancient artifacts. They are presented in wall mounted acrylic cases.
